“Cooking with the Countess" - Vegan Rhubarb Compote with Vanilla Sauce
You are invited to join us this coming Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 11:00 am for a very unique online "LIVE" Cooking Class on Zoom Meetings! This program features Mrs. Peter A. Salm also known as The Countess von Salm-Hoogstraeten and her private chef Brian Hetrich, DNOM. This Zoom Meeting is FREE to you complements of the Southampton History Museum.
Harken back with us to a bygone era of the elites in the kitchen of one of the largest and last private Gilded Age estates in Southampton. Here in this historical setting we will show you how to make a vegan rhubarb compote with vanilla sauce using organic home grown produce. The vast kitchen is located inside the Port of Missing Men which was built by H.H. Rogers, Jr., whose father was the richest man in 1910. The Countess has a well-cared for organic vegetable garden which is the major source of produce for all meals served at the estate.

This cooking show offers a unique experience for natural food and history lovers inside one of the most majestic historic homes that I know of.”

Meet the Chef
Brian Hetrich, DNOM
Brian is an expert in lifestyle medicine. He is an inspiring health coach, a very knowledgeable teacher, a talented raw vegan chef, a Master Grower, author and a gifted speaker. Brian earned his Doctorate of Naturopathy from the International Institute of Original Medicine which is accredited by the American Naturopathic Medical Accreditation Board (ANMAB), and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP.) Brian is a Health & Wellness Educator at Raw Living Spirulina in Vero Beach, FL and Co-Host of the Foundation of Life Retreats. Brian has been a raw vegan for since 2007.
